Joint Venture Offers Two Brands Increased Marketing Opportunity
September 1, 2008, Charlottesville, VA -- Sunergia, Inc. and Ceres Organic Harvest, Inc. today announced the two companies had merged distribution operations of their respective organic and natural food product brands. The announcement comes after two months of negotiations between the two corporations to land on a strategic fit between the two. "This creates further marketing opportunities for both brands," said Jon Kessler, Sunergia, Inc.'s President. Sunergia, Inc. was founded in 1999 and is the producer of the Sunergia Soyfoods brand and the VegCuisine brand. Ceres Organic Harvest, Inc. was founded in 1992, and is a leading supplier of organic grain commodities in the United States. Ceres Organic Harvest's retail division, Ceres Organics, is the importer and holds the exclusive distribution rights for leading European brand Soyatoo! Ceres Organics is being rolled into the joint venture. The joint venture will be managed by Progressive Formulations, Inc.
